kidz.ch is looking forward to Suisse Toy 2016!

Sarah and Miles from kidz.ch have been unable to sleep peacefully for nights because of the excitement: From 6 to 9 October, the Suisse Toy , the largest games fair in Switzerland, is finally opening its doors again. On the Bernexpo site in Bern, around 200 exhibitors and a sensational supporting programme will provide tons of enthusiasm, fun and new ideas for our Shop provide.

Since 2000, Bernexpo AG has been organizing Suisse Toy every autumn. The largest toy event in Switzerland is a manufacturer-oriented public fair. Visitors are welcome here! For adults, a day ticket costs 16 francs, a season ticket for all three days costs 39 francs, and for children up to 16 years old, it costs 7 or 17 francs. Children under 6 are free. The family ticket for 1-2 adults and up to 3 children is available from the organizer or on site for just 39 francs.

At SwitzerLAN, gamers’ hearts are laughing

Suisse Toy is offering an event that will surely attract everyone interested in games. Although many products can be purchased at fair prices, the focus here is not on sales, but on informing visitors about current trends in the toy market. And there are quite a few, especially since E-Games - the trade fair for electronic toys - was integrated into Suisse Toy in 2007.

Among other things, the SwitzerLAN, the largest LAN party in Switzerland, will take place there. What does that mean? 1,000 participants will duel in various games for four days and nights. Spectators can watch the LAN madness on two event stages. Numerous cosplay fans will add color to the game, and one of them will win the big costume contest and 10,000 francs.

Fun without limits at Suisse Toy

As we always say: “Play today! Play every day!” “Fun without limits” – this year’s motto – is the focus of Suisse Toy as it is every year. Sarah and Miles are looking forward to the new products presented by established exhibitors such as Ravensburger, Carrera, Playmobil and Märklin, as well as the innovative products of new companies on the market. In addition to board games and toys, classics and new products for model making and construction kits will be on display. Miles can hardly wait to visit the stands in the sports, leisure and outdoor toys area and to enrich the outdoor section of our shop with one or two gems.

Sarah is interested in the “Creaktiv” exhibition area, a playground for artists and craft enthusiasts. In addition to traditional forms of creative expression such as crafts, sewing, pottery, jewelry design or painting, current topics such as do-it-yourself and recycling also promise new inspiration. There will also be exciting art to see. Sarah will surely come home with her hands full and pack a few cool new things for you in our creative area .

In addition, the toy fair will feature the FamExpo Baby section, where exhibitors will be offering innovative products and services to help ensure a good start to family life. Let's see if there are some great products for your babies that we can add to our shop.

A tribute to gaming

A great program has also been announced away from the exhibition stands: There will be a children's cooking show, music, clowns, magicians and fairy tales. Despite the sheer number of attractions and the expected rush of visitors, Suisse Toy still sees itself as a "cross-generational meeting place for the whole family," and it wants to appeal primarily to this group.

All in all, the Suisse Toy is a big, colorful, loud homage to playing, to the joy of losing yourself in the game and forgetting everything else around you. Sarah is excited. “We will definitely report back!” she promises. We are already looking forward to it.

Have fun at Suisse Toy, Sarah and Miles!

Now you!

Are you going to Suisse Toy or have you been there before? What is your impression of this event? Which toys are you most interested in? Are you more into traditional games or are you a fan of (electronic) novelties? And what do you think of cosplay? Do you have any experience with it? Then send me a photo, I would be really interested!

All the best and see you soon ,

Your Bylle from kidz.ch
